Vittoria Ceretti at the 2026 Met Gala

Vittoria Ceretti attended the 2026 Met Gala wearing a custom Carolina Herrera gown designed by Creative Director Wes Gordon.

Sculpted in Motion

Cut in sheer black silk chiffon and shaped through couture draping, the design is shaped directly on the body, allowing the silhouette to emerge through the way the fabric falls and shifts. A soft asymmetry through the torso, an open back, and an elongated line work together to extend the figure without interruption.

An interpretation of this year’s theme, Fashion as Art, the starting point was Greek sculpture: not its idealism, but its clarity. The tension between something fixed and something that still suggests movement.

“With Vittoria, there's a natural clarity in how she moves, so the process became very collaborative—we were adjusting the drape directly on her, in real time. The classical body stopped being something idealized and became something lived-in.”
