Stallion Leather Sirocco x Sibylle de Tavernost

As part of Carolina Herrera for Women in the Arts, Carolina Herrera presents Stallion Leather Sirocco, a limited edition within the Herrera Confidential Collection developed in collaboration with textile artist Sibylle de Tavernost.

The Art of the Handwoven

Known for her handwoven tapestries and her exploration of landscape through natural fibers, Sibylle’s practice is grounded in texture, material, and structure. For this project, she was invited to engage with the equestrian narrative at the heart of Stallion Leather and to translate its sense of movement and restraint into visual form.

Rather than illustrate the fragrance, Sibylle approached it as an interpretation. Drawing from sculpted desert dunes and tonal landscapes shaped by light and shadow, she developed a stylized motif that reflects instinct and open terrain. Her composition has been translated onto the sculptural cap of the bottle and extended across the outer packaging, integrating her artistic language into the edition.

Leather, Reimagined

Stallion Leather Sirocco builds on the signature leather accord of the original composition, inspired by Mrs. Herrera’s lifelong connection to riding and her horse Balaclava. In this new chapter, perfumer Jordi FernĆ”ndez intensifies the fragrance through mineral and salted facets, enriched with date liqueur, saffron, and nutmeg, and grounded by Akigalawood and benzoin. The result balances structure and warmth, strength and fluidity.
