The Spring 27 Makeup Look

For Spring 27, Creative Director Wes Gordon celebrates 45 years of Carolina Herrera by revisiting the world Mrs. Herrera created in New York in 1981. That spirit extends into the runway makeup look by James Kaliardos: a modern interpretation of 1980s glamour combining luminous skin, sculpted color, bronze-and-gold eyes and nude lips.

STEP 1: COMPLEXION

A Luminous, Lifted Complexion:

Nude Couture Triple Moisture Serum Foundation, applied with the Foundation Brush, creates seamless, buildable coverage with a luminous, second-skin finish. Nude Couture Triple Moisture Brightener, blended with the Brightener Brush, brings targeted light to the complexion. Good Girl Blush in Plum Tulip 1092, Rosewood Peonia 1012 and Rose Jasmine 1070 is swept upward for a fresh-looking flush and softly lifted dimension. Nude Couture Highlighter in Gold Getter 01 illuminates the high points of the face with a refined golden glow.

STEP 2: EYES

A Maximized Bronze-and-Gold Gaze:

Chic Eyeshadow Stick in Hazel Encanto 20 creates a smooth, long-wearing base. Layers of burnished gold and warm brown from the Eyeconica Quad Eyeshadow Palette in Bold in Gold are blended across the lid and softly smoked along the lower lash line. The sparkling golden shade is pressed onto the lid to amplify radiance, while Fabulous Eyes Smudgeproof Mascara adds definition and dimension for a gaze that enhances every eye color.

A Modern Nude Lip:

Fabulous Kiss Lip Liner in Bold & Loud Beige 45, Ever-Smiling Nude 46 and Am I Too Georgeous Brown 49 softly defines the lips. Fabulous Kiss Sheer Lipstick in Nude Touch 142 creates a barely-there color glow, while Fabulous Kiss Blur Matte Lipstick in Nude Supreme 741 offers a richer nude statement. Good Girl Mini Tint is layered over the lipstick as a finishing touch: Black Delight 001 for a non-shimmery finish or Show Off 009 for a subtle sparkling effect.
