Celebrating the amazing power of women in 2023

At Carolina Herrera we believe in empowering women through education. This year we celebrate International Women’s Day through our partnership with Kode With Klossy, which has taught coding skills to over 12.000 young women since 2016, and the new Carolina Herrera FIT Scholarship.

Mrs. Herrera

First up, we’re celebrating our brand’s own founder and namesake, Carolina Herrera. At a time when fashion was still a boy’s club, when everybody told her it could not be done, this mother of 4 struck out on her own to create a brand that’s stood the test of time.

“The impossible doesn’t exist for a woman.”

The Carolina Herrera FIT Scholarship

The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York has been the gateway for countless young minds to enter the fashion industry. And thanks to a scholarship provided by the Carolina Herrera Social Justice Program that will support four years of study for qualifying female students, we are hoping to make it a little bit easier for young women to break into this incredible business.

Currently, only 24% of computing jobs are held by women. Since 2016, Carolina Herrera has helped support Good Girl Ambassador Karlie Kloss’ organization Kode With Klossy in their efforts to teach coding skills to young women. This International Women’s Day, we are celebrating the possibility of change and progress. “At Kode With Klossy and thanks to the partnership with Carolina Herrera, we’ve been able to educate over 12,000 young women and gender non-conforming individuals,” Kloss says.  “For Carolina Herrera, it’s been incredibly gratifying to see how these scholars shape our future. Because that’s really what coding is all about: building the world around us,” adds Beauty Creative Director Carolina A. Herrera.
