Preserving Mapuche Weaving: A Celebration of Craft and Culture

In the heart of La Araucanía, Chile, the women of Wallontu Witral are keeping centuries-old Mapuche weaving traditions alive. Through meticulous craftsmanship, they create textiles that embody identity, resilience, and artistry. Now, in collaboration with Carolina Herrera, their latest collection will be showcased at the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art in Santiago, opening this April.

Carolina Herrera’s tribute to Mexican craftsmanship

For its Resort 2025 collection, which debuted on the runway at the Anahuacalli Museum in Mexico City, Carolina Herrera showcased the work of four female artists dedicated to preserving and reimagining the craft traditions of Mexico: María de los Ángeles Licona San Juan, Virginia Verónica Arce Arce, Jacqueline España Capilla, and Araceli Nibra Matadamas.
Fostering the next generation of French film talent with Kourtrajmé
France, 2024
Carolina Herrera teamed up with the artistic collective Kourtrajmé, a tuition-free Paris-based film school and creative program that aims to democratize filmmaking education and foster new talent from underrepresented communities. Together, they created a series of short films inspired by the brand’s iconic Good Girl fragrance, co-directed by students Camelia Ben and Alexia Hanicotte.
Carolina Herrera x Kode with Klossy
USA, 2024
Currently, only 24% of computing jobs are held by women. Since 2018, Carolina Herrera has helped support Good Girl Ambassador Karlie Kloss’ organization, Kode With Klossy, in their efforts to teach coding skills to young women. “At Kode With Klossy and thanks to the partnership with Carolina Herrera, we’ve been able to educate over 12,000 young women and gender non-conforming individuals,” Kloss says.
Breathing new life to leftover textiles with Rosa Tharrats
Spain, 2024
Rosa Tharrats is a visual artist who utilizes fabric for incredibly intricate sculptural pieces, exploring the relationship between organic and inorganic materials. Carolina Herrera donated leftover textiles from Carolina Herrera New York collections — including a show-stopping blue and green tapestry — for her “Refugia” exhibition at the Bombon Projects gallery in Barcelona.

The Carolina Herrera Sewing Course at Spectaculu

Carolina Herrera partnered with Spectaculu, a Brazilian non-profit organization that provides training and professional guidance to young people, on a highly specialized, 15-student class devoted to fashion and dressmaking. The first session was a virtual masterclass taught by Creative Director Wes Gordon.
Carolina Herrera x Thyssen: Women Masters
Spain, 2023
Carolina Herrera sponsored the “Women Masters” exhibition at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum in Madrid. It's a journey spanning centuries as told through over a hundred works by 73 female artists — a milestone in the history of art in Spain, both for the relevance of the names included and for its feminist approach.
